The Department of Mechanical Engineering was founded in 1999 (under Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun) and is now part of COER University to address the increasing demand for engineers in mechanical disciplines. The departments’ main goal since its founding has been to provide high-quality instruction, training, and research in a variety of Mechanical Engineering fields. The department works to develop professionals who are self-assured and aware of the current workplace. The department provides a top-notch learning environment with a group of highly competent professors to motivate students to advance their technical knowledge and foster a spirit of cooperation. High-motivated students who comprehend the workings of the market and develop their skills accordingly make up the department’s strength.

The placements, both for final jobs and summer internships, is a core element of the university’s activities. COERU has a well laid-out process of meeting students’ career aspirations and corporate expectations. Our students are placed among the Fortune 500 and top 1% of Indian companies, with average packages going up by at least 10-15% each year, along with a stellar sustained record of 100% placements.
