Abstract: The purpose of digital farming system is to collect and interpret data, and to give the best recommendations possible to farmers (or other stakeholders), in terms of water, soil and nutrition management. These tools and services improve our overall crop nutrition solutions by supporting the farmer with in-time and precise application.

Abstract: Recirculating aquaculture and aqua-ponics system is an integrated fish and plant production technology mainly comprising of two subsystems viz “Aquaculture” and “hydroponics.” This system is useful for rearing fish and plant in indoor tank in a controlled environment. The fish tank is connected to the soil free plant beds, and eco-friendly bacteria (Azotobacter) convert the fish excreta in the water into available nutrient for the plants, creating a symbiotic relationship. It is a way to grow fishes and vegetables in integrated and self sustained system. Farmers only feed the fishes and fish excreta will create nutrition for plants so there is no need to use fertilizers. There is no need to use of fertilizers because the fish provide rich nutrient for plants. In this system the use of water is 1/10 in comparison of natural planting. Plants grow fast because they get nutrient substances from the fish waste. Water is used in recirculating system and it will also reduce the consumption of water.

Abstract: During the winter season, it is extremely difficult to grow tomato capsicum, cucurbits, French bean, amaranth, etc. in open field conditions, however various types of protected structures have been developed for growing some high-value crops continuously by protecting the excessive cold condition, but the cost of developing the structure is too high i.e. – 50 lakh rupee for 1-acre land. Similarly, this structure will also provide favorable environmental conditions to the plants at a very low cost.
Note: This project was also selected for presented at UBA Tech4seva event organized by IIT Roorkee.
